In your doorway you found Nuumit

Nuumit – the mysterious stone from Greenland or Mauritania

Nuumite is a rare and fascinating metamorphic rock ( An igneous rock is a rock that has been formed by the cooling and crystallisation of hot, molten rock (magma). Nuumite takes its name from the area of Nuuk in Greenland, where it was first discovered.

The stone is usually black and opaque, but its internal structure reveals a spectacular shimmer. This is due to the way gedrite and anthophyllite interact in thin lamellae, creating an iridescent sheen that can shimmer in gold, blue and green. In polished specimens, you can often also see traces of pyrite, feldspar and cuprous feldspar, which form beautiful golden streaks in the stone.

Nuumit has a very old history – it was formed around 2.8 billion years ago from igneous rocks that later underwent two major metamorphic transformations (metamorphic transformation means that the crystal transforms from one rock type to another. Nuumit has done this twice!). It was first discovered in 1810 in Greenland by mineralogist KL Giesecke, and was scientifically defined by OB Bøggild between 1905 and 1924.

In 2009, a new variety of nuumite was also found in central Mauritania. It is sometimes called Jenakit and is characterized by its dense needle-like crystals in blue and green – unlike the Greenland nuumite, which usually shimmers in golden tones with hints of blue.

With its unique structure, deep shimmer and ancient history, nuumit is not only a geological rarity – it is also a stone that captures both light and imagination.

The Numite's message to you is:

When you are grounded, grounded in yourself, in touch with your energy, then you are protected and your door is open for transformation, for healing and for finding new energy in life.

How can you ground yourself with the help of Nuumiten?

Warm the Nuumite in warm water. Let it get really hot but not so hot that you can burn yourself on it. Crawl into bed, preferably naked, and place the Nuumite on your Hara, on your second chakra, about two centimeters below your navel. Feel the warmth of the crystal and let the heat into your body, feel how this place deep inside your body warms up. Breathe calmly and comfortably into this place in your body. The navel chakra connects the legs, back, pelvic floor, spine and everything in the stomach. This place is your power center. Your Hara center is like a gathering place for all the nerves that come from the legs, lower body and everything in the stomach and that lead the energy up to your consciousness.

Do this exercise every day for a week and allow yourself to become more grounded.

Today's wise words

"As far as inner transformation is concerned, there is nothing you can do about it. You cannot transform yourself, and you certainly cannot transform your partner or anybody else. All you can do is create a space for transformation to happen, for grace and love to enter." — Eckhart Tolle

“Walk as if your feet are kissing the earth.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
